Synopsis

Elena, mother of three children, originally from a small town in Sicily, is murdered by her husband. Her cousin, Roberto, who over the years has built a life in Senigallia, decides to take in custody the three orphans, otherwise destined to a family home. Together with his wife Anna, he takes on the maintenance of the three grandchildren, who join the couple's other two children. The adaptation of the three children to the new reality is complex and conflictual. Due to the economic crisis and some missteps at work, Roberto loses his business. The repercussion on the family budget is heavy. Roberto and his wife manage to ensure the five children's livelihood...
