Some of the masters of horror cinema come together to discuss the legacy of the slasher film in this fun, often irreverent and always informative documentary. Produced for Arrow Video in the United Kingdom, SLICE AND DICE: THE SLASHER FILM FOREVER is divided into six sections - "how to survive a slasher film", "the genre's greatest hits", "the final girl", "making a memorable movie maniac", "the secret of a good gore gag" and, finally, "the slasher film forever", in which the enduring appeal of the form, and the current crop of remakes, is discussed.Those taking part in are a little cultier than usual and generally not as ubiquitous on genre documentaries. This includes J.S. Cardone, who directed the classic "video nasty" THE SLAYER and later wrote and produced the STEPFATHER and PROM NIGHT remakes; Corey Feldman, who killed Jason in FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER; Scott Spiegel of HOSTEL and INTRUDER fame; legendary Brit director Norman J. Warren; FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE NEW BLOODs John Carl Buechler; and such recent genre kingpins as Patrick Lussier, who edited the SCREAM movies and directed MY BLOODY VALENTINE and DRIVE ANGRY, Adam Green of HATCHET, Dave Parker of THE HILLS RUN RED and Chris Smith of TRIANGLE and SEVERANCE.

In the process, they downgrade their expectation and hope solely to make it back for the big day, missing the intervening functions out of those misadventures. While she has all the knowledge in her head and is diligent in studying, she has a form of stage fright in the actual execution and fails time after time as she tries to claw her way out that bottom third. Conversely, Henry Walker, one of her classmates, doesn't even seem to want to be there. He is less than meticulous in his attitudes and he and Emma are always butting heads, and he is always getting her into trouble in the process, yet he seems to always come out smelling like a rose and having an aptitude for the work. Emma learns that Henry is doing so well because he is a legacy butler, having come from a line of butlers stretching back 200 years, but instead of following in his father's footsteps as his father expects, he would rather be a chef. Mr. Willoughby suggests that the two work together as each is able to provide a necessary perspective and skill that the other lacks.
